I've heard that Ensim is more fragile than is Plesk, but the information I have is only anecdotal. However my experience with Red Hat RPMs is that within a distribution release they don't upgrade to another version; they just patch the versions originally distributed (hence the "dash" numbers). This hasn't broken Plesk for us, and I'm not sure why it should break Ensim. In your post to which I responded you specifically wrote: > > > Updating ensim modified rpms with plain redhat rpms can cause server to > > > fail. Which is why I thought you were writing that Ensim used the same names as Red Hat. And I stand by what I wrote in response: > > That should only happen if Ensim has their own RPMs with the same names > > as the RH RPMs. Plesk RPMs have different names and we've never had a > > problem with anything being overwritten. So if I'm missing something, I'm open to your further explanation <smile>. As of this morning I'm seriously looking at the "http://www.directadmin.com/" which someone mentioned on (I think) the Cobalt Facts list (but it might have been this one). Based on what I read on their site they should work as long as you update with standard RHL RPMs. Jeff -- Jeff Lasman, nobaloney.net, P. O.
