Two ways. One via the cmos tool if you backup a copy from the cobalt install and have it around. If not when booting via a serial console press the space bar and end the rom menu. From there you can change the default boot device. I am not sure off hand, since it may be different for a Raq3. I only have access to my XTR. However to view any commands for a rom menu just type help. I believe it's in the boot menu. Accessed by typing boot at the main menu prompt. I may be in the lowlevel menu. You can specify bfd, or boot from disk. However that will not change the default. That will only effect the current boot. The next time you reboot it will boot to the default. Which at the moment seems to be the rom. Rule of thumb. Maybe to late now. I will make another post and mention it. Not to mention in any docs/how to's I make. Before installing a different os on a Cobalt machine backup all binaries on the machine, and libraries. You just may need to access things like the cmos tool, lcd tools, or other binary programs specific for Cobalt. I am glad I did. -- Sincerely, William L.
