Michael was right. Tests with ubuntu were done with the server media. I didn't try with the desktop media due to good reasons. It is not an install media but a live media that you can "copy" to your hard disk. As such, there are very little packages there, and most of the space goes into the filesystem that the livecd will mount. In particular, as there is no a base-files to guess the distro flavour, no distro or profile can be created. And for the repo, even in the case it were created, it should content only the .deb whithin the live media, so it will not serve for provision a new system. Javier Palacios P.S.: I've been appart from cobbler for a few months. I'm in the process to get updated, so hopefully I'll be soon in shape to contribute again to this stuff. _______________________________________________ cobbler mailing list [email protected] https://fedorahosted.org/mailman/listinfo/cobbler
