Hello, birders.

Hannah and Andrew and I stopped by Prince Lake No. 2, Boulder County, yesterday
afternoon, Friday, January 23rd. Along with the 900+ Ring-billed Gulls (and
only 2 Herring Gulls) was a behemoth adult Glaucous Gull. (Size-wise, for sure,
and also plumage-wise, it was very likely not the same adult Glaucous Gull that
Hannah and I saw at Valmont Reservoir on January 4th of this year.)

Prince Lake No. 2 is a great place to study gulls--just so long as there are
any gulls to be studied there. (You don't even have to get out of your car.)
And for now, anyhow, there are gulls at Prince Lake No. 2. Details on Prince
Lake No. 2 are to be found on the Colorado County Birding website of Colorado
Field Ornithologists. Go to the Boulder County page,
http://www.coloradocountybirding.com/county/bird_a_county.php?name=Boulder, and
then scroll down to entry #28.
