Hi birders,

The winds were just right this morning near Burlington (a steady 10-13
mph out of the south) to witness a fantastic migration of Northern
Harriers streaming northward. Most individuals were no more than 10m
off the ground. An occasional turn in the wind served to slingshot
them on their way with barely a flap of their wings. In forty minutes
I observed 48 individuals (before 10am!). They seem to be streaming by
everywhere. After 10am the winds picked up further and the rest of the
day yielded 13 more.

Other migrants:
Mountain Plover (2)
Swainson's Hawk (11)
Rough-legged Hawk (5)
Prairie Falcon
Barn Swallow (2)
Savannah Sparrow (2)
Cassin's Sparrow (1)

Best,

Scott
