I tried posting to COBIRDS yesterday but because I was on the computer
of a non-member, the message didn't go thru, as far as I can tell.
The weather in Lamar has been volatile the last few days but mostly
wind and rain, no snow.

Highlights:

In general:
Lark Sparrows (back in force)  FOS
Vesper Sparrow (back in force)
Burrowing Owls (back in their normal places)

Fairmount Cemetery:
Wilson's Warbler (1m)  FOS
Barn Owl (1)  in big pines, just north of main entrance
Ruby-crowned Kinglet (1)
Townsend's Solitaire (1)
Pine Siskin

Lamar Community College Woods:
Red-bellied Woodpecker (at least 4)
Northern Cardinal (1 singing m)
House Wren (few)  FOS
Clay-colored Sparrow (1 singing)  seems a bit early, FOS
Chipping Sparrow (few)  FOS
Ash-throated Flycatcher (1)  north end on 4/16,  FOS
Orange-crowned Warbler (1) on 4/16
Yellow-rumped Warbler (at least 10, including one group of 6)
Hermit Thrush (3)  on 4/16
Ruby-crowned Kinglet (2)
Wilson's Warbler (1m)
Red-breasted Nuthatch (heard)
White-breasted Nuthatch (heard, sounded like 'eastern')
Spotted Towhee (1 male)
Brown Thrasher (few singing)

Lamar High School Windbreak:
Bewick's Wren (1)  north end on 4/16
Wilson's Warbler (1m)
SUMMER TANAGER (1 all-red male)  4/18 at north end, sharpie forced it
to leave
Western Kingbird (1 wet, silent, tail-in-molt)  FOS

Thurston Reservoir north of town:
Bonaparte's Gull (2-3)
Black-necked Stilt (at least 8)
Peregrine Falcon (1)  on 4/18
lots of waterfowl including late Common Goldeneyes
White-faced Ibis (at least 30)  southeast corner
Swallows (Barn, Bank, N. Roughwinged, and Tree)
Sandhill Crane (at least 30)  late?

Lark Bunting (few)  seen various places, mostly males in molt

Willow Valley Subdivision:
White-winged Dove (1)
Cooper's Hawk (i male) eating Mourning Dove

CR13 bridge over the Arkansas River:
Cliff Swallow (1)

Total of 93 species so far
