Had one morning in Denver and we hit the Wheatridge Greenbelt. It was
very birdy. The highlight was a singing male Rose-breasted
Grosbeak. There was a wonderful pale juvenile Red-tailed Hawk who let
us watch him for a 1/2 hour as he was harassed by Redwings and Grackles.

Later over the west side of Cottonwood pass we watched a large flock
of Red Crossbills, a Hermit Thrush and came home to find our pair of
Black -headed Grosbeaks still with us.
We also have more Hummingbirds than ever!
Its great to be a birder in Colorado this season
