Arapahoe County:
--A BUFF-BREASTED SANDPIPER was reported by Acker in the back
portion of the new wetland at Cherry Creek State Park on August 29 and
re-found by Stachowiak on August 30.

Bent County:
--A juvenile Neotropic Cormorant was reported by Komar at the west end of
John Martin Reservior on August 25.

Boulder County:
--Several American Three-toed Woodpeckers were reported by Dunning in Wild
Basin on August 25.  The easiest to access were at the junction of the
backpacker campsite trail and Tahosa Campsite path.
--A BLACKBURNIAN WARBLER was reported by Szeliga at Betasso Preserve on
August 25.
--An American Three-toed Woodpecker was reported by Szeliga at Brainard Lake
on August 27.

Delta County:
--A Black Phoebe was reported by Garrison at Pleasure Park on the Gunnison
River on August 28.  Pleasure Park is between Hotchkiss and Delta on CO 92
at MM 13.

Fremont County:
--A Green Heron was reported by Moss along the Canon City Riverwalk on
August 28.

Jefferson County:
--A Northern Waterthrush was reported by Henwood at Bear Creek Lake Park
near the NW Cove at Pelican Point on August 28.

Larimer County:
--A NEOTROPIC CORMORANT was reported by Komar in a small pond near Timnath
Reservoir between County Roads 76 and 78 on August 14.  The bird was
observed again on August 26 by Griffin.
--An adult Sabine's Gull was reported by Mammoser at Timnath Reservoir on
August 23 and seen again on August 26 by Komar.

Logan County:
--An adult YELLOW-CROWNED NIGHT-HERON was reported by Peterson at Jumbo
Reservoir on August 23.  Kaempfer re-found the bird on August 30.
--Northern Cardinals were reported by Kaempfer at Unit 7 of Tamarack State
Wildlife Area on August 30.
--Along the Riverwalk at Tamarack, Kaempfer reported Red-bellied Woodpeckers
on August 30.
--A LAUGHING GULL was found by Vanderpoel at North Sterling State Park on
August 29.

Mesa County:
--A Nashville Warbler was reported by Korte on Brush Creek near Collbran on
August 30.

Moffat County:
--2 Northern Waterthrush were reported by Luke at Loudy-Simpson Park in
Craig on August 29.

Montezuma County:
--A Northern Waterthrush was reported by Leatherman on the San Juan River
under the US 160 bridge near Four Corners on August 29.  The area is
viewable from the bridge but it is on Ute Tribal land and is posted as
inaccessible under
penalty of fine.
--3 Purple Martins were seen by Hill at Glade Lake nnw of Dolores on August
26.

Pueblo County:
--Percival reported the following west of Valco Ponds parking lot on August
26:  Tennessee Warbler, Northern Waterthrush and Eastern Phoebe.  The
Tennessee Warbler was re-found by Percival on August 27.

Washington County:
--A Little Blue Heron in mottled plumage was reported by Kaempfer near
Prewitt on August 29.  It was halfway from the 102 exit to Prewitt on Hwy 6
in a wet area on the south (right) side.  The Little Blue Heron was seen
again on August 30 by Joey Kellner and his DFO Field trip.
--An eastern Palm Warbler was found by Matthews on the east side of the dam
at Prewitt on August 29.

Weld County:
--A LAUGHING GULL was reported by Deininger near the intersection of CR 23
and CR 10 on August 26.

The DFO field trip for Saturday, September 5 will be to McClintock and
Enchanted Mesa Trails led by Paul Slingsby, (303-422-3728).  Meet the leader
at 0700 at the Ward Road Park 'n Ride, exit 266 from I-70 and go one block
north.  These trails are somewhat steep but not difficult.  Lunch optional,
for those who want to will check out Walden Ponds in the afternoon.  Please
notify Paul in advance if you plan to attend.
