Hi Cobirders

NOTICE--The ranch will be closed to all recreation on Saturday 26 Sep 2009
(that includes birding and banding)

A very active day today, I was a little surprised with clear weather all night.
Best bird was the Black-and-White Warbler that flew into a net right in front
of us. We banded 71 birds of 19 species today.

Birds Banded:
Mourning Dove
Western Wood-Pewee 7
Hammond's Flycatcher 2
Dusky Flycatcher 4
Cordilleran Flycatcher
Plumbeous Vireo
Cassin's Vireo 2
Warblering Vireo 4
Black-capped Chickadee
Red-breasted Nuthatch
White-breasted Nuthatch
House Wren 2
Gray Catbird 2
Yellow Warbler 6
Black-and-White Warbler
MacGillivray's Warbler 4
Wilson's Warbler 28
Western Tanager
Chipping Sparrow 2

Also around the banding station was an American Redstart and Olive-sided
Flycatcher. Around the HQ area in Pueblo county I found a Northern Waterthrush.

Good birding,
