Inspired by Connie's post about a Sharpie hunt I thought I would relate the Cooper's hunting tactic I witnessed a few days ago.
The setting: Wind blowing hard, snow going sideways, me sitting at a light waiting for it to turn green. A Coopers flies right in front of my vehicle maybe 10 ft off the deck and moving very fast. The Cooper flies towards the awning over the gas pumps then makes a 90degree turn up... When it gets to the top of the awning, it barrel rolls onto its back ...from that point all I see is 200+ pigeons making a fast exit. I thought I was watching a scene from Top Gun. Never confirmed the Cooper caught anything, but did not see it fly away. Those pigeons never saw what hit them.
