Seven Trumpeter Swans graced Chatfield Reservoir this afternoon. Initially they were in the middle (deeper) part of the lake, but were later relocated by Paul Differding just out from the heronry overlook "deck".
It will be interesting to see what other birds show up in the next week as the smaller (and some larger) lakes freeze over.
