Initally, when we arrived at the owl's recent location, he was not seen, we drove through the loop twice, the weather was getting worse, it was starting to snow. We left the area and drove through some nearby neighborhoods, & saw no owl. We decided to leave, thinking maybe he was gone due to the weather change. But before we left the area, we decided to drive back to his recent location. In the few minutes we had been gone, two photographers were there, other birders, plus the owl. He did not disappoint, we got to watch him fly down in the field near us, grab a mouse, return to his perch on a neighbor's house, instantly, he swallowed the mouse.
