CoBirders,
Barb Hughes of Steamboat Springs has had Common Redpolls visiting
her thistle feeder since January 24. She had 2 females on 1/24,
a male and female on 1/26, and the same pair on 1/27. Tom
Litteral saw Redpolls at her feeder on 1/26.
She welcomes birders and has moved the feeder so that is
visible from outside her house. It is on the back proch but visible from the
side porch.

Directions:
US 40 to Walton Creek Road
Turn East onto Walton Creek Road
Walton Creek Road to Village Drive
Turn right onto Village Drive to Meadow Lane
Turn right on Meadow Lane and take it to the first (and only) Stop sign (Bear
Drive)
Turn left onto Bear Drive and take it 2 blocks to Hunters Court
Turn right on Hunters Court
The house is the 6th one on the right. The house is beige with light trim and
there is a "Chateau Hughes" sign hanging from the front porch.
Park on street or drive down the driveway, if you have 4 wheel drive. If they
are not home walk down the driveway and around the left side of the house to
the side porch. Be sure to wear snow boots since snow is deep on the side of
the house. She is an avid skier
so may not be home. If she is home, the best view is from her
kitchen window.
