April 2 Genesee Park - Williamson's Sapsucker just past where road ends at the chain gate, on the right side on/near the utility poles that run through the pines. Loveland Pass - WT Ptarmigan from first parking pulloff past the summit (when coming from Denver/Georgetown direction), looking downslope Buena Vista - Lewis's Woodpecker April 3 Waunita Lek - Gunnison Sage-Grouse on lek Evelyn Lane (north of Gunnison) - single Brown-capped Rosy-finch and Lincoln's Sparrow at the feeders on your left soon after turning onto the road...homeowner says large rosy flocks with all 3 species frequent this winter especially during crummier weather but they weren't there on this 50-degree morning Crested Butte downtown - 50 Brown-capped Rosy-finches and a single "Hepburn's" Gray-crowned Rosy swirling around town Mount Crested Butte near ski area - ~400 rosy finches including all 3 species plus Hepburn's County Rd 160 north of Poncha Springs - Prairie Falcon in ag fields April 4 South of Lamar, along CR 5 between CR X and CR U - 4 Chestnut-collared Longspurs Neenoshe Res - 4 Snowy Plover Nick Bonomo Wallingford, CT www.shorebirder.com U-C-O-N-N UCONN UCONN UCONN!!! -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Colorado Birds" group.
