Hi folks,

Just a few notes on the last couple days' birding for the upcoming
tours or whoever else...

April 2
Genesee Park - Williamson's Sapsucker just past where road ends at the
chain gate, on the right side on/near the utility poles that run
through the pines.
Loveland Pass - WT Ptarmigan from first parking pulloff past the
summit (when coming from Denver/Georgetown direction), looking
downslope
Buena Vista - Lewis's Woodpecker

April 3
Waunita Lek - Gunnison Sage-Grouse on lek
Evelyn Lane (north of Gunnison) - single Brown-capped Rosy-finch and
Lincoln's Sparrow at the feeders on your left soon after turning onto
the road...homeowner says large rosy flocks with all 3 species
frequent this winter especially during crummier weather but they
weren't there on this 50-degree morning
Crested Butte downtown - 50 Brown-capped Rosy-finches and a single
"Hepburn's" Gray-crowned Rosy swirling around town
Mount Crested Butte near ski area - ~400 rosy finches including all 3
species plus Hepburn's
County Rd 160 north of Poncha Springs - Prairie Falcon in ag fields

April 4
South of Lamar, along CR 5 between CR X and CR U - 4 Chestnut-collared
Longspurs
Neenoshe Res - 4 Snowy Plover
