This weekend we were finally able to make it over to our cabin in Forbes
Park...always a welcome treat...no phone, computer or television...so despite
high winds we were able to get in some quality birding time.
Highlights included:
A pair of Pine Grosbeaks
Cassin's Finch
A lone Red Crossbill
Dusky Flycatcher
Ruby-crowned Kinglet
Swainson's Thrush
Black-chinned Hummingbird

In addition there were lots of:
American Robins
Chipping Sparrows
White-crowned Sparrows
Dark-eyed Juncos
Yellow-rumped Warblers
Green-tailed Towhees
Pine Siskins
Broad-tailed Hummingbirds were displaying...we counted 6 males doing their
aerobatics
Western Tanagers
Mountain Bluebirds
1 Townsend's Solitaire
Red-naped Sapsucker
Downy Woodpecker
Northern Flicker
Cordilleran Flycatcher
Violet-green Swallows
Red-tailed Hawk

House Wrens are busy building a nest on our porch as they have for the past 10
years

All in all a great weekend!
