Cobirders : As Joe Roller mentioned both the Red-throated Loon and the 3 juvenile /female type Surf Scoters were visible from either the west or east side of Cherry Creek SP until I left at 3:30 PM this afternoon. I had quite good looks at the RTLO and to my eyes looked to be closest to the juvenile illustration in Sibley , just a small white area below eye , light gray back of neck became very dark at base , no white speckling on back , but a dark throat triangle ( light was too poor to distinguish color ) might indicate adult characteristics. Hopefully Glen got some decent photos . A late adult Franklin's gull was the only other bird of note. John Drummond Monument.
