Well, migration did not arrive again today. Banded 6 birds: 2 House Wrens,
1 Spotted Towhee, 2 Gambel's White-crowned Sparrows, and 1 House Finch.

I'm really writing today to clarify yesterday's post about a returning
Black-capped Chickadee. I wrote that it was banded 4/30/1, and I've been
asked if that was an 11-year+ old bird (as in 4/30/01) or the more likely
4/30/10. It indeed was 4/30/10. The longevity record on a BCCH is 11
years, 6 months, so I would have made a much bigger deal out of it had I
managed to come close to that.
