This morning’s outing will include short walks on the surrounding prairie. Participants are encouraged to bring hand lenses for a closer study of grass structures. Dr. Buckner is a long time specialist in baseline studies of plants and soils and has been a leader in the revegetation and restoration of many variously disturbed sites. Meet promptly at 8:45 at the parking lot on the northeast side of the East Boulder Rec Center, 5660 Sioux Dr, Boulder, CO 80303. We will car pool a short distance to South Cherryvale Road. Bring water, appropriate footwear, hats and the usual field gear.
