We'll break up into manageably small groups and explore the wetlands and small woodlands of the "Greater Greenlee ecosystem." Yesterday afternoon (Fri., Jan. 5), a pair of Cooper hawks were performing their marvelous courtship display, and perhaps they will give us an encore tomorrow afternoon; other sightings in the past few days have included prairie merlin, hooded merganser, energetic bands of bushtits, and huge but unpredictable assemblies of geese.
