I have used the kong as well.   There are little refiller treats that you put in them.  You can also buy the Kong at Petco.  They are a little pricey when you look at it (around 10dollars) but it is worth it in the end.
Peanut butter is also perfectly fine to give her.   Chloe goes crazy when I put the peanut butter in there... She won't stop licking it until she gets it all out..

Thank you for your response!!  Yeah, my little one is great!! So
far, she's a sweetie!!

Wow, this kong sounds like a great idea. I am looking for something
along these lines.  For the last couple of days, I have been going
home for lunch.  However, I am taking much longer than I expected.
So, I was looking for something that would help cut down the total
time. I was thinking of something (i.e. a safe treat) that I could
give her while in her crate..  I wasnt sure if such a thing
existed.  LOL! You mentioned that you used peanut butter.  Is there
anything else that I could use?  I wasnt sure how peanut butter
would work b/c of her age.

Thanks much!
