They removed the pouch, and no he did not say what kind of crystals were found, no special diet, he is on clavomox.  He said the walls of his bladder were very thick, and it may regenerate itself or he may just have to pee more often than most dogs.  Right now Benji is doing great, not straining, there is still a little blood, but the vet said that was normal for this surgery, and should stop in 2 or 3 days.  Now the problem I am having is with biting, I have tryed all of the recommendations such as saying ow!, ignoring him and sticking a rawhide in his mouth, but he is a determined little rascal, he also is after our feet everytime we walk across the room, I keep telling him he is going to either get stepped on or cause me to fall, trying not to step on him.  He is a little Brat!  Any suggestions would surely be appreciated.

I'm so glad the surgery went well for Benji!! That's terrific. Now were they able to repair this problem of the extrqa pouch? Did he say what kind of crystals Benji has? (struvite or cal ox?)?  Will he be on a special diet?
