Zeus is fine with food and us telling him to drop it.  It's when he 
gets into something inedible that he's somewhat aggressive like paper 
towels or napkins.  Our Samoyed also has the same paper fetish but 
he'll drop stuff right away upon command.  It takes a lot of work, 
being consistent and patient but eventually they get the idea.  Zeus 
is still young and we'll continue to work with him.  Not allowing it 
to become a game of chase and seek also helps.

Not everyone has the same rapid success as you might have had...much 
depends on if you're home 24/7 with the pups etc. and catching them 
in the act.  We'll just keep working on it and have no doubt it'll be 
successful eventually. Thanks for the response.
