Not everyone has the same rapid success as you might have had...much depends on if you're home 24/7 with the pups etc. and catching them in the act. Did I say it happened overnight? Here is how I taught them when they would have a treat in their mouth as a pup I would take it out while saying drop it and as soon as they would release it, I would praise them, look over the treat and give it back telling them good boy or girl. Consistently doing this they caught on and now they will spit when I say drop it.
