Thank you for the update Julie!
You are doing the right thing, and I wish you the best of luck.
Please post again as I will be looking to hear how Charley is doing. I will
be sure to say a little doggy prayer for him and yourself! :)

Hi Group,
An update on Charley. He has an appointment tomorrow
at 3pm. I spoke to the vet on the phone today and she
said that it could be any of a number of factors
contributing to Charley's aggression. She is
recommending a CBC/Chem panel on his blood along with
checking the tyroid. She said that it could be a low
white blood cell count, a problem with his teeth,
knees. She said that she needs to put her hands on
the dog and examine him thoroughly. I think part of
the aggression also has to do with behavior b/c he was
worse. Charley's training has stimulated his brain
and taught us how to control him before the aggression
can start, but there are other times when it is
impossible to control him and that's where the medical
intervention is necessary.
Thank you to every one who has posted and who has
written me off list. I appreciate all of the help and
concern.
Sincerely,
Julie
