As far as the breeder goes, my breeder ships her Cockapoos all over
the country and has been doing so for years. She happens to live in my
city, so I was able to pick her up from her home. As far as I know,
some of you could have gotten your Cockapoo from her. She has family
photos of lovely Cockapoo families on her website. I'm not going to
mention her name because I do think she has lots of good Cockapoos out
there and I don't think it would be fair to her.

All the more reason to have her tested, if the breeder doesn't have a
problem with other dogs, trainers haven't worked with her then I would have her

tested asap. Cocker spaniels do have thyroid problems in their lines, and if
it
turns out to be that, your breeder should also be informed so she knows what
to watch out for, and also so she can have the parents of your dog tested
and if one of them do in fact have a thyroid she would in all likely hood
remove
her or him from her breeding program. The thyroid even on the borderline
can and does cause problems with aggression and it can be fixed.
