Hi all,
Charley has a grooming appointment for next week. I was wondering how
a Cockapoo is supposed to be groomed. Right now I keep the hair on the
top of his head fluffy, shaved beard, shaved under arms, shaved under
ears a cotton ball tail and somewhat short. My concern is his eye area
because the hair below the outer corner of his eyes is too long and
covers his eyes. Should the hair around his eyes be shorter? He has a
mix of wavy curls and tight poodle curls. Also, he has terrible tear
stains and has had them since we got him at 11 weeks. I bought a
topical cleaner made especially for tear stain, but the stain never
goes away. It doesn't even go away when I give him a bath and wash it
with shampoo. Is this because of in grown hair (which it shouldn't be
b/c it comes back days after grooming) or is it from the tear ducts
being clogged (but there is definate leakage). I'm not sure what is
normal and not. He is the first dog that anyone in my family has ever
owned. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,
Julie
