Madison, now 9 months, has enjoyed chewing just about every toy I've gotten. He
does NOT seem interested in the infamous Kong, however. Over time he has worn
out a number of fabric toys with squeekers but still enjoys anything with a
squeek in it. I imagine it to be some innate pleasure in the squeek of captured
prey! Yuck. Anyway, he still likes heavy knotted rope threaded through tennis
balls or rubber balls. Not all rubber toys are scented.
For pure chewing, I always have a bully stick (cow tail) available. These are
among the many animal by-products available. Unlike rawhide, though, they do
not swell up in the stomach when ingested.
