Have any of you been on Yahoo Answers? I love going on there and
answering questions and helping people. It is alot of fun. But one
thing I have noticed is that there are a ton of people on Yahoo
Answers that hate mixed breed dogs--especially Cockapoos. If someone
asks a question like "Cockapoo or Maltese?", wanting to know which is
a better choice to get, they will get a slew of answers
like, "Cockapoos are mutts! You can go to any shelter and get one
and save a dogs life!" Now, I am all for saving an animal's life. I
am the proud mom to 4 rescued cats and a very large lab/pit mix that
we rescued off our road and nursed back to health. So you can't get
more dedicated than that. But when I have to look at answers
like, "Don't support the Back yard breeders! You can go to the
shelter for a mutt!", it just makes me angry. We don't support back
yard breeders either! Pepper was bought from a dishonest backyard
breeder as a cocker spaniel. He was bred alot of health problems, so
I don't like the BYB any more than they do, but it isn't my baby's
fault he was born a cockapoo.
So when they go around calling Cockapoos mutts, and talk ugly about
them, it just hurts me to the core because they are talking about my
Pepper, and as a mom, it makes me mad.
I was just wondering if anyone had any opinion on this. Have you had
experiences like this too?
