Subject: [cockapoo] Another Suggestion about Tear Stains
To: [email protected]

Hi All, I'm new to the group. My dog Mia is a 10 month old cream
colored female cockapoo. She's a second generation as both her
parents were cockapoos. For the first few months we had her she was
having issues with tear staining. After talking with a local shop
that sells dogs supplies and high quality natural dog food, the owner
said a lot of dogs have allergies to the wheat, corn, and other
byproducts in cheap dog foods that can contribute to tearing. At the
time I was feeding Mia Science Diet - Natures Best. I changed her to
an all natural dog food and kid you not within 3 days the gooey
tearing/staining stopped. She's currently eating Timber Wolf brand
food. I'm not really sure if this was coincidence or not, but she's
never had any tearing/staining since I changed. Since she eats such
little food, I consider the slight increase cost of the natural dog
food well worth it. Just an thought.
