No Dave, I did not see your e-mail? I've gone back through the posts and
just can't find it. I've taken my dog off of it as of today and am trying
Solid Gold - Barking at the Moon. Does anyone know any horror stories about
this brand?

I'm having a hard time finding foods that help my dog have firm stools.
Timberwolf did in fact do that; but in light of the recall; I'll just have
to keep trying different foods. I called the pet shop I purchased the foods
and she said none of the Timberwolf she is selling is affected by the
recall. However, if you google stuff about it, many people complain that
their dogs just stopped or wouldn't eat the stuff. The pet store owner
indicated that after they changed the formula (assumingly due to issues
about the recall), some dogs just didn't like it anymore. This is point and
case with my dog.  She used to gobble the stuff up (and she never got sick);
then the last time I purchased it, she lost interest in the food and I used
to have to add some "real" protein to entice her to eat it. That's when I
went to the store to try and find a new food that would work well with her
to maintain firm stools and obviously not be on any Recall list.

I'll look up recall stuff about the Solid Gold and pass it on if I find
anything. Here's a link to the recall on Timberwolf.

Thanks for bringing that to my attention Dave.

Do not use timberwolf, did you not read my email?

They had a massive recall and were straight out lying to consumers about it.
Dogs got very sick on timberwolf, and they refused to apologize (or even
refund my money). all of the pet stores in chicago stopped carrying it.

That list i sent out earlier has a good list of dog foods, in case you
missed it, here it is again

Also, don't forget about the pet food scares of the last few years. All the
major brands were involved, as they all got their food from China.

That's why we use only organic and natural foods made in the US

LOL long story short, I tried timberwolf when they first started out, lots
of confusion and it took me 6 weeks to get it, they were on the Whole Dog
Journal list of 10 best dry foods out there, after all that waiting my dogs
would have nothing to do with it.

Another good dog food for allergies is California Natural, has the least
amount of ingredients and is tolerated well by most dogs with allergies.
They have several different varieties.

Dog Food, Natural Cat Food & Nutritious Dog Treats - Natura Pet Products
