Thanks, so far we don't have any issues, but she's only 10 months old. I
have her ear hairs plucked and the ears cleaned at every grooming. I don't
feel real confident yet at trying to pluck them myself. I had the hair cut
short on her face up under the air to help with the circulation. If I
notice they're a bit dirty, I take commercial ear cleaner on a tissues and
wash the outside portion of the ear. This solution can also be put into
the ear canal and massaged to help clean out the inside also. She's a
second generation and does get hair growth insider her ears.

I wonder if food allergies can also be tied with the ear infection thing.
Luckily, so far so good with Mia, but time will tell.

I jump started her eating again J I took her of the Timberwolf, and have
tried a sample pack of Merrick - Campfire trout. If you add a little warm
water it makes a gravy; Mia goes nuts for it! I'll be experimenting with
other quality foods to give her variation. And I'm sure I'll get a bunch of
responses as to how HORRIBLE Merrick food is also! It seems everybody has a
bad experience with almost every food out there. So, I guess it's really an
individual thing. Her favorite, hands down, is homemade people food. Last
night she has chicken and peas.complements of the chef. So, no matter the
dog food we purchase we supplement that with "our" food.

P.S. We got her groomed VERRRRY short as we skipped a grooming and she had a
bunch of mats, OMG she looks like an overgrown rat; so funny..she's a skinny
little thing. This is a convenient cut for us as she HATES to be brushed
and combed; something I hope she grows out of. So, today she looks just
like a poodle, in three weeks, she'll look like a cockapoo again, he..he..

Keep the ear trimmed behind so the air circulates, make sure his ear canal
is clear and has no hair in it, if it does the hair needs to be plucked both
my 1st generation have no problem with hair growing in the ear canal, now
both my 2nd I have to pluck every so often. None of mine have problems
with their ears, we have real lucky with that.

Anyone have any ear cleaning tip or suggestions to preclude ear
infections? I know this can be inherent in dogs with floppy ears.
