This assumes your CSV will always represent a certain data type. That's a pretty big assumption for a data format that is purposefully wide open so that it can define a multitude of "record" formats.

If you already know the structure, then it's a well-defined format and you're unlikely to be using CSV anyway. Of course, only the OP can answer this in his case.
