IIRC I asked about this before, and the reply I got said that there isn't a UTI or old-school pasteboard type for searching, and maybe one or two other categories. So Kyle is most likely correct that the items you see are hard-coded... You should probably file a bug and choose an alternate category. If your concern is the Very Serious Users will not take your software Very Seriously because there is a better category, then I would advise you not to worry about this...
