Hence just *one* of the reasons to use a version control system and tag/label 
*all* of the builds released outside of the immediate development team.

Then, all you need to do to reproduce the product at that point in time is go 
back to that tagged version, rebuild, and try to reproduce the problem.  At 
that point you have control over your beta expiration date, and can debug the 
actual problem with that source handy.
