do you have some info on how to turn off autosaving? In System
Preferences>General the setting
is “Ask to keep changes when closing documents” unchecked, “Close windows when
quitting an application”
is checked. Changing these settings does not change the behavior. (The machine
is used in a student-lab
at the university, wouldn’t surprise me if they changed something, but we had
some other bug-reports as
well)

In the code: one thing I changed in the sample
was deleting + autosavesInPlace in the NSPersistentDocument subclass (the same
for our
application). If I return YES, the duplicate works, but save as not.

The changes made to the document between the last working save and the save as
are written to the original document :O

Thanks for the answer.

Cheers,

Felix
