Marcelo,
though I made only a cursory reading of the doc, Oracle9i R2 has some interesting
additions:
1) XSLT inside the DBMS
2) XPath querying inside SQL
3) support for the (emerging) XML/SQL standard
BTW, XML:DB is rather interesting, you might now consider Oracle an
Object-Relational-XML DBMS.
