The mailing list is not a support forum, it's a user group's forum. The
difference is that no-one here is paid to answer questions and thus will
only do so if time permits. It is entirely possible to not receive an
answer, especially to very easy and very hard questions. I would
definitely not recommend this mailing list as a support option. If
people are generally comfortable to use OpenSource software, then
they'll have no problems using this list, but if Cocoon is their first
step into OpenSource territory, then I think the whole OpenSource idea
should be explained in more detail.

There's already 1.8.3, so use that instead.

I highly doubt it, Cocoon2 is not a generic technology, it's a specific
application. XSP as in Cocoon1 had some hope, but in its incarnation in
Cocoon2 I think it is too limited to be accepted as a standard. Things
like the Sitemap or Actions don't have a chance, they are much too
specific to Cocoon.
