Hi Luca,

Hmm, that's weird. According to Sun's website, this bug was fixed sometime
during the 1.2 series, so it should definitely be fixed in 1.3.1. Though
looking at the Java bug database, the last messages posted by folks implied
that at least one person found it still to be a bug in 1.3 beta. Here's the
link:

Vadim, as for why you found them in a different directory, I'm guessing
those are jar_cache files left behind by applets you've viewed (this bug was
particularly a problem with the Win32 Java plug-in).

Anyway, sorry I don't have a solid answer, but hopefully this data's at
least somewhat helpful. =)

Harry

PS For what it's worth, I'm running Win2k, JBoss 2.4.1 with Tomcat 3.2.3
embedded, and JDK 1.3.1, and I couldn't find any jar_cache files on my box.

Vadim,

I've found evidence of a bug like this under JRE 1.2... but I'm using 1.3.1
and those files are still there :(

Anyway, I'm wondering if I'm the only one with this problem....

Best regards,
