The University of Chicago Library is looking for someone to help with some custom programming for our VuFind imports, enriching MARC records at index time. This project would be a contract engagement.
To be more specific, we use Solrmarc for loading the MARC records into Solr indexes for VuFind. We license Syndetics table of contents and summary data, and need to merge this data with our MARC records at import time; the Syndetics data matches on ISBN. A Solrmarc mixin seems the obvious solution. Proficency with java, experience with solrmarc and some history of contract programming are required.
