Because it wasn't *exactly* the same time--zeu's CREATE had a slightly earlier timestamp than yours. Your server received his CREATE and op'd him; some other server received your CREATE and transmuted it into a simple JOIN and sent back a MODE -o Empus to resynch the net. -- Kevin L.
