hi some ideas about topic/topic burst:
- on a B message, if the existing channel is younger, clear the topic, since the topic is set by net riders. (think of h4x0r3d, takeover, etc, topics) --------------------- - ideas for topic burst: the topic message between servers can have extra params: <sender> T <channel> <channelTS> <topicTS> <new topic> where the following checks are done: first check: if channelTS parameter is later than the existing channel TS, always ignore new topic. if channelTS parameter is earlier than existing channel TS, always overwrite existing channel topic. if both channel TS are equal, do the second check: if topicTS parameter is later than the existing channel's "topic set" TS, overwrite the channel topic, otherwise ignore. feedback.
