At a guess, muh's parsing of JOIN messages from the server is broken, talk to the muh author about their broken use of requiring a ":" before a JOIN from the server ie:

muh needs:

:[EMAIL PROTECTED] JOIN :#channel

we send

:[EMAIL PROTECTED] JOIN #channel

this is probably what is tripping muh up, and it's a muh bug. See my previous rant about IRC clients not able to parse things correctly.
