I recently started using deferred mode in an existing DAG and I wasn't seeing these fast fails with the non-deffered mode. Non-deffered mode does make a call to the same `detect_pod_terminate_early_issues` method, but it happens after a call to wait for init container completion, which pauses if it's waiting for init container logging, so the extra time there probably masks the issue. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
