The issue I was addressing is the change in representation after the value is stored in PostgreSQL JSONB and read back. For example, 1.7E308 is initially deserialized as a Python float, but PostgreSQL JSONB canonicalizes the number into an expanded decimal form. When Airflow reads it back, Python's JSON deserialization interprets that expanded value as a very large int. My PR fixes this PostgreSQL JSONB round-trip so that the original floating-point representation is preserved instead of changing from float to int.
