Fixes #1805. ## Changes - Stop passing Apache SCM username/password values as Maven command-line properties; configure Git authentication separately. - Run `release:prepare` with `-DpushChanges=false`, add the generated catalog descriptors to the tagged commit, and publish the release branch and final tag once each without force-pushing. - Align the contributor release guide with the script and add a synthetic Git/Maven command regression test. Closed PR #1819 contained a similar initial proposal but was author-closed unmerged. The issue remains open and the current main branch still contains the reported behavior; this version adds a regression test, updates the manual guide, and avoids even a local force-tag operation. ## Validation - `bash -n release-utils/release.sh` - `bash -n tests/release-utils/release-script-test.sh` - `bash tests/release-utils/release-script-test.sh` (synthetic Git/Maven shims only) - `git diff --check` No real release, Maven integration suite, broker, cloud provider, production service, or credential was used. The full Maven suite was not run; Maven is not installed in the task environment.
