Berenguer Blasi commented on CASSANDRA-15583:
---------------------------------------------

Here is what I have in mind so far. I will create a 'main' feature branch where
I'll merge the smaller tickets/steps I complete into. Once that main feature
branch has sthg sensible we can merge it into trunk and proceed normally

A. Start with 1 nodetool cmd as a POC against CQLTester. E2E testing both
client and server side
B. If POC is good extend to the few most 'representative/complex' nodetool cmds
to make sure what we have covers the needs
C. Visit the other tools in a width first based approach to extract a common
base class or small lib to test tooling easily
D. Add tests to uncovered parts

Hope it makes sense.
