Berenguer Blasi commented on CASSANDRA-18301: --------------------------------------------- I was thinking that having a yaml property makes it look like being a node local config. That could be not the case. Think in TTL i.e. where you can't have some nodes capping inserts to 2038, as they would overflow, while some others accepting those same inserts under the new version just bc some nodes toggled the feature flag. I remember there is sthg in Gossip to check the version of the whole cluster. We would probably need to add sthg there to inform feature flag vs node status so some features only kick in when all nodes have toggled it. > Let the user select the sstable version to write > ------------------------------------------------ > > Key: CASSANDRA-18301 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CASSANDRA-18301 > Project: Cassandra > Issue Type: New Feature > Components: Local/Config, Local/SSTable > Reporter: Jacek Lewandowski > Assignee: Jacek Lewandowski > Priority: Normal > -- This message was sent by Atlassian Jira (v8.20.10#820010) --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: commits-unsubscr...@cassandra.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: commits-h...@cassandra.apache.org
