Ekaterina Dimitrova commented on CASSANDRA-18717:
-------------------------------------------------

Both branches run Javadoc under check now, tested locally. The check succeeds
as things are fixed and fail on introduced errors.
Whatever comments I left on Friday on [~smiklosovic]'s PR apply to 5.0 and
trunk.

My only slight concern is that almost all the errors fixed here are such that
they do not trigger errors or warnings in the IDE. [~mmuzaf], do you know if
there is a way to change that? Otherwise, people will see them only on running
the check task. I also suspect this was the main reason for this ant task to
regress in time.

> As discussed on CASSANDRA-17687, the javadoc task completes successfully, but
> there are errors that deserve to be fixed if we keep the task around.
> If we do not plan to use it, we should remove it and reduce the clutter.
