Doing 1000 inserts of a 5 column CF on a single node cluster on a really lousy 
machine seems to show that the guava murmur hash is significantly slower than 
MD5. 5x? perhaps. Perhaps it's just the guava implementation, as opposed to the 
Murmur3 implementation.
