Verified fixed on both `main` and `branch-1.3` (via #14433 / #14434 for
#14432). Reproduced the steps from this issue against current tips; empty
bodies and `{}` now return HTTP 400 (not 500/403).
### Test method
Jersey unit tests against the Iceberg REST resource classes (same request
shapes as the curl loop in this issue). Authz-handler null/`{}` paths covered
by `TestIcebergRequestBodyAuthzHandlers`.
Setup (same as issue): create namespace `ns` and table `t`, then POST empty
body / `{}` to the listed endpoints.
### Results on `main`
Empty body:
- `namespaces` → **400**
- `namespaces/ns/properties` → **400**
- `namespaces/ns/tables` → **400**
- `namespaces/ns/tables/t` → **400**
- `namespaces/ns/tables/t/metrics` → **400**
- `namespaces/ns/register` → **400**
- `namespaces/ns/register-view` → **400**
- `namespaces/ns/views` → **400**
- `namespaces/ns/views/v` → **400**
- `tables/rename` → **400**
- `views/rename` → **400**
- `namespaces/ns/tables/t/plan` → **400**
`{}` missing required fields:
- `namespaces` → **400**
- `tables/rename` → **400**
- `views/rename` → **400**
Authz handlers (`CreateNamespace` / `RenameTable` / `RenameView` with null
or incomplete body) throw `BadRequestException` (mapped to 400).
### Results on `branch-1.3` (`8e80829c8`)
Same empty-body and `{}` checks → all **400**. (`register-view` is
main-only; skipped on 1.3.)
Closing as fixed. If an OSS suite assertion still fails beyond status 400
(e.g. ErrorModel fields), please paste the failing assertion and we can reopen.
